This German made lithographed paper Easter egg is decorated with the portrait of an elegant lady. The body of the carton egg is covered in a soft brown mottled and edged in Dresden paper at the opening. The inside of the egg is lined in gilt fleur de lis paper and one side is edged in Dresden paper lace. In wonderful condition, overall and quite an unusual piece.
