This charming china plate, a late 19th-century German piece, pictures a little girl in old fashioned dress petting a friendly St. Bernard. The plate is bordered in an old fashioned pink with a gilt border and features the letters of the alphabet in raised script. "San Jose" is also written in gilt lettering, meaning the piece is a souvenir of a long ago visit.
The plate remains in good condition with normal, age-related wear and a few scattered rubs. Marked: Made in Germany
