Arranbee Nancy with Trunk Circa 1930's
Arranbee Nancy with Trunk Circa 1930's
We are pleased to offer a darling, 1930’s era Nancy doll by Arranbee. This little girl features a nicely molded and painted composition head with pink tinted cheeks, painted-blue eyes and rose red lips (surface crack to left forehead and paint loss above upper lip.) Her molded and painted titian hair is styled in a wavy bob and topped with a beret in celadon green cotton (scattered wear to painted hair.) She is on a jointed composition body in good condition, with blushing to knees, elbows and hands with red tinted nails. Her sweet costume, in mint green cotton with celadon green piping, is comprised of a collared all-in-one and an attached, pleated skirt with Arranbee tag intact. Silky cream stockings and cream oilcloth shoes complete her presentation.
Her trunk features a textured finish in a deep burgundy hue with a simple hasp closure. The trunk’s interior is papered in a soft buttercream shade and features a single roomy drawer and a closet compartment with four original carton hangers (trunk presents significant wear and is missing it’s leather handle, but displays wonderfully.) A wardrobe of sweet 1930’s-era garments includes two romper style dresses, a red wool coat with matching beret, striped flannel pajamas and a wide brimmed hat of lemon yellow cotton gauze.
