Here we have a sweet, Wee Patsy doll by Effanbee. She features a composition head and torso as one with jointed arms and legs that terminate in painted black one-strap shoes. Her nicely molded and painted head features blue eyes, a tiny rosebud mouth and molded and painted titian hair styled in a sweet bob with bangs and a molded headband (scattered wear to hair.)
She wears a darling one-piece suit in vivid blue and white striped cotton plus a matching wide brimmed sun hat. This doll was advertised as a tie in product to actress Coleen Moore’s “Fairy Castle,” an elaborate, large scale doll house completed in 1935 and used to fundraise for children’s charities.
