Parsons-Jackson Company Biskoline Baby, circa 1910
Parsons-Jackson Company Biskoline Baby, circa 1910
This Parsons-Jackson Company early Biskoline baby, circa 1910, is a little piece of American toy-making history. Advertised as a "Kant Krack Kid" the swivel-neck baby is made of Biskoline, a unique product. Features include a solid dome head with painted-brown eyes and an open/closed mouth with rose red lips (minor surface wear throughout face and head.) On a bent-limb baby body that remains in good condition, baby wears a sweet costume comprised of striped cotton pants in a palette of cream, brown and orange plus a cozy orange cardigan (scattered, age related wear to costume.) This darling baby is a fairly uncommon find. From the doll collection at Gae Gardens.
