We are pleased to offer a delightful character in regional Scottish dress made by famed British doll maker Norah Wellings (1893-1975.) This bonny lad features a felt face with nicely molded and painted character features including full, blushed cheeks, side-glancing eyes fringed in full lashes and a delightful smile with vividly painted lips and a row of teeth. His head of delicately shaded ginger brown hair is topped with a black velvet cap embellished with a silver tone pin with a faux topaz stone. On a firmly stuffed cotton body he wears a sweet regional Scottish costume comprised of flannel tartan in a palette of orange, blue and dark brown. He also wears a black velvet jacket with silver tone buttons and his shawl is fastened with a silver tone pin with a faux topaz. Knee high tartan stockings and black patent shoes complete his presentation.
A tag sewn to the bottom of his left foot reads "Made in England by Norah Wellings.”
