Here we have a very nice “Anne Shirley” doll from Effanbee. Features include nice facial molding and painting including rose red lips, arched brows and golden brown sleep eyes with lashes (face does present surface crazing throughout, particularly to corner of left eye and a small paint rub to bottom lip.) Her face is framed by a light golden brown wig in its original set topped with a red ribbon.
She is on a composition body in good condition save minor, age related surface cracks and rubs throughout, several fingers on each hand appear to have been repaired / reattached. This little sweetheart wears an adorable dress in Swiss dot on a field of red, pink, white and dark violet checks plus a ruffled Peter Pan collar and puffed sleeves with a blue piping detail.
