Here at the Carmel Doll Shop, we adore the delightfully impish "Brownies" created by Canadian illustrator, Palmer Cox circa 1880's. This little fellow, rendered in fine felt by master doll artisan R. John Wright, is named "Cymbals" and is part of the "Brownie Band."
Features include a wonderfully molded and painted character face with wide eyes, delicately blushed cheeks and a mouth set in a sweetly nervous grimace. He wears footed pea green leggings, a red band coat with tails and a jaunty brimmed cap. He holds a pair of gold finish cymbals in his hands. In wonderful condition.
From a limited edition of 175, he retains his original tag and includes his original box with a certificate of authenticity.
