This sweet, masterfully crafted doll from R. John Wright represents the character “Hans Brinker” from the beloved story “The Silver Skates.” This handsome young man features a fully jointed felt body and finely molded face with painted lips, blue eyes and deeply blushed cheeks. His face is framed with a soft, blond mohair wig and topped with a blue cap. His impeccably tailored felt costume is made of of fine felt and and includes a fawn brown coat lined in plaid, blue britches (both with faux patches) and a knitted maroon scarf with pom poms. Brown woolen stockings and brown leather hob nail boots complete his classic look. He carries a beautifully detailed pair of skates over his shoulder. Number 328 from a limited edition of 350, he is in excellent condition and retains his metal button, sew on tag and box.
