We are pleased to present “Erika,” an early character doll from R. John Wright. She features a finely molded and painted face with large green eyes, blushed cheeks and delicately painted lips in a broad smile. Her brunette mohair wig is styled into two braided buns and topped with a grey felt had adorned with felt millinery flowers. She is on an expertly made, fully jointed felt body. Her beautifully sewn rustic costume features a green felt dress, organdy sleeves and collar, cotton shawl, laced drindl and a floral apron. Underneath, she wears a cotton slip and pantaloons. Cream stockings and black felt slippers complete her charming look. She is in wonderful condition and retains her original tag, but no box.
