Allow us to to present the exquisite “Columbine.” From the R. John Wright Commedia dell'arte Collection, she was the souvenir doll for the 2006 Modern Doll Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has a fully jointed felt body with sewn knee joints and finely articulated hands. Her face is beautifully molded and painted with finely blushed cheeks, blue painted eyes, shaded eyelids and rose painted lips. Her dark blonde mohair wig is styled in an updo of ringlets and embellished with pink millinery roses. Her ballet length, polonaise style dress is a confection of layered, rose pink cotton organza edged in cream with a sprig of millinery roses at the waist. Underneath, she wears organza pantaloons (there is a small mark on right inner leg of pantaloons) and a layered tulle underskirt. Fine cream stockings and rose pink court shoes complete her ensemble. Accessories include pearl drop earrings and necklace. Number 90 from a limited edition of 300, she is in excellent condition with a signed tag and box, plus a registration card.
