We are delighted to offer a charming “ZuZu Islander” created by famed British doll maker Norah Wellings circa 1920’s. He is crafted entirely of soft velvet with a firm, sculpted face with a swivel neck and a flexible, stuffed body. His darling face features round cheeks, a sweet smile with vivid coral red painted lips and painted teeth, plus side-glancing brown eyes framed with thick lashes and arched brows. His head is topped with a wig of soft brunette mohair with an auburn tint in a sweet tousled style.
As mentioned, his body is made entirely of soft velvet with sewn joints, firm stuffing at torso and stitched fingers and toes. His velvet overalls, in a rich shade of yellow are integrated into his body and feature full, plumply stuff legs and straps that criss cross in the back (small mark on front, upper left leg.)
