"Skookum" Woman

$75.00

10 1/2” “Skookum” originally the brainchild of Mary McAboy of Missoula, Montana, her doll industry grew from apple head dolls, to the point that a wide variety of dolls were produced in Los Angeles, with a New York City-based distributor supplying outlets.
This example features a head of molded plastic, a wonderful black mohair wig, the suggestion of arms provided by the wool flannel blanket, and legs of plastic with molded plastic feet.
