Here we have a dashing young lad in classic Scottish dress. Features include a perfect bisque head with gently blushed cheeks, an open mouth mouth with a row of tiny top teeth and blue glass sleep eyes framed in delicately painted lashes. His face is framed by a chestnut brown mohair wig styled in tight curls and topped with a jaunty black velvet cap edged in red and black tartan and embellished with a thistle finding in pewter finish metal.
His wonderful costume is sewn on, but from what we can see of his jointed composition body, it is in good condition, save for somewhat loose original stringing. His traditional Scottish ensemble is comprised of red and black tartan, and black velvet and is accented with an over the shoulder leather strap and black faux fur sporran at his waist. Beribboned tartan stockings and laced patent finish shoes complete his presentation.
