$995.00

Circa 1914, this classic German bisque character is known as “Hilda” – mold #237 from JD Kestner. Features include an antique blonde wig, an open mouth with two pearly teeth, brown sleep-eyes and lovely, perfect bisque.
She is on a fully jointed wood and composition toddler body that does present age-related wear that does present some scattered crazing. A cotton band holds together upper torso which indicates that there was an operable cryer present at some point.
This delightful child wears a red and white seersucker costume with a sailor collar, red cotton kerchief, a buttoned belt, red and white trimmed cuffs and nautical embroidery details throughout. A knitted cap of navy blue embellished with red and blue grosgrain ribbon tops baby’s head (cap does present an area of fading.) Underneath, a fine cotton slip and all-in one are worn. Antique, sage green oilcloth shoes complete the classic presentation.
