Who says that French dolls have a corner on style? This fashionable German young lady, circa 1880, features a beautiful bisque shoulderhead with nicely molded full cheeks, delicate blushing, striking blue spiral threaded paperweight eyes framed by full brows and lashes and a closed mouth in a sweet rose hue (minor rub to right cheek.) She wears a chestnut brown mohair wig in a mass of curls topped with a felt hat embellished with silk ribbon and a frothy spray spray of pink ostrich feathers.
On a gusseted leather body with bisque hands in good condition (left hand does present finish loss), she wears a two piece costume in a luscious shade of soft pink with a full skirt, lace and braided trim and a lavish bustle back (costume in wonderful condition, but does present light, age related fading.) Underneath, she wears a fine cotton slip and pantalettes. Silky, knitted stockings and antique white leather shoes with silk rosettes at the toe and grosgrain ties complete her stylish, or mit Stil presentation.
