German Child attributed to Heinrich Handwerck
This little beauty, attributed to Heinrich Handwerck, features a fine bisque head free of damage (save for scattered wig pulls) with delicate coloring, blue sleep eyes framed by full lashes and brows, a slight double chin, pierced ears and an open, coral painted mouth that reveals a row of pearly teeth. A gorgeous, brunette human hair wig cascades in loose curls down her back and is topped with a black straw hat embellished with a black velvet bow (some damage to edge of straw brim in back.)
Her delightful antique dress, in black polka dots on a field of rich red, features gigot sleeves, an empire waist, a full skirt and silk ribbon embellishments (dress does present scattered discoloration and holes throughout.)
Underneath, she wears a fine cotton petticoat and pantalettes. Antique black knitted stockings and red leather shoes complete her classic presentation. Bonuses include a red glass brooch, plus red glass earrings and necklace. Head Incised: 99 DEP Germany
