14 1/2” German Child from the Bähr & Pröschild firm – mold number 224-7 A/O. Details of this character-like doll include a perfect "moist bisque" head with subtle dimples, lovely, brown sleep eyes, pierced ears with green glass earrings, an open mouth with teeth and a very flattering, light brown antique human hair wig topped with a hunter green silk bow. She is on a fully jointed composition body (body presents crazing, composition wear and flaking particularly to hands and lower back.) Her darling costume is comprised of a smock style dress in a green and red calico print with an antique bar pin fastened at the chest. Over this, she wears a pinafore in natural cotton with flared sleeves and embroidered edging in a pattern of floral buds. In her arms she carries two charming stockinette dolls with yarn hair and applied felt features wearing red and white floral outfits and tiny oilcloth shoes. Underneath, she wears fine cotton underthings including an all-in-one and slip (undergarments present areas of discoloration.)
