"JESSIE" a Daddy-made Toy Stove

$895.00

When we initially saw this sweet Cook Stove, we suspected that is was a handmade project. But the card found inside the oven confirmed that thought: “American, homemade - 1880- for Jessie. Jessie’s father made her this stove in his factory - she was 10 years old.”
The charming stove, created from sheet tin that features a blue finish, features a lower oven with a nameplate engraved “JESSIE,” plus six burners, and a warming shelf. Interestingly, there are two metal cats heads mounted below the over door.
Each of the six burners retains its round blanking plate, and miraculously, the tool to lift them out of place is present, and the original stove pipe is present, as well. A wonderful assortment of gray granite cookware is included, as is a roast turkey on a platter and a tiny “Mason” jar storing what appears to be dried lentils.
In very good condition overall, “JESSIE” is a testament of a father’s love for his daughter.
Measures: 20” tall inc. pipe x 10 1/8” wide x 7 1/2” deep
