Designed for use as a stamp box on a human-sized scale, we would use this handsome Florentine painted box in a fashion doll scene, as to us, it is reminiscent of Victorian-era papier-mache, due to its black ground and floral decoration. The yellow-painted interior features a division, for two sizes of postage stamps. In good condition, showing normal wear.
