Red and black is always a classic combination and that is what we have here in this Victorian Sewing Satchel. The front and back panels, in red needlepoint, feature the year the piece was made and the maker’s initials - 1871, & E.P.. Not visible is the carrying handle as it is tucked inside - a black rope. In good condition overall, but showing tenderness to the silk on one side panel.
