Measuring fourteen and one-half inches tall, this Bebe Schmitt is a classic beauty featuring a very pretty bisque head with requisite plump cheeks, gorgeous spiral-threaded blue paperweight eyes (tiny flake to upper right eye opening) with lovely brows, mauve shadow and delicately painted lashes. Further details include a closed mouth with a tongue tip that is just visible and pierced ears.
Her face is framed by an antique blonde mohair wig and topped with a bonnet woven with green straw and soft chenille and embellished with antique millinery cotton balls. She is on a fully-jointed wood and composition proper Schmitt body, with the Schmitt shield stamp and straight wrists. The body retains its original finish and presents only normal age-related wear.
She wears a darling wool plaid dress in a vivid palette of blue, cream and green featuring a bretelle style collar and rows of tucks at the hem. Underneath, she wears antique cotton underthings. Finely knitted chocolate brown stockings and French style oilcloth shoes complete her presentation (wear to shoes.)
