We are pleased to offer an exceptionally sweet Bébé Jumeau. Standing sixteen and one-half inches tall, features include a perfect, and very pretty bisque head marked DEPOSE TETE JUMEAU in red with her size number 6. Additional features include beautiful coloring, gorgeous deep brown paperweight eyes, pierced ears with red glass earrings (minor chipping and glue residue to left ear hole) accented by full lashes and brows, and a delicately painted closed mouth (minor rub to tip of nose.) Her face is framed by an antique mohair wig in dark blonde, and which is styled in a mass of beautiful curls.
She is on a fully-jointed wood and composition body that does present normal, age-related wear, particularly to tops of arms and hands. Her classic 1880’s style bébé costume is made of creamy golden silk and features a drop waist with a tiered, ruffled skirt, a ruched, antique silk plastron and cream lace embellishments. A matching bonnet completes the ensemble. Chocolate brown stockings and antique French leather shoes in her size, (tender) with a button closure at the ankle and a rosette at the toe are worn.
