Contained in her original wooden box, with a paper label upon one end that reads “L’ ÉDEN BÉBÉ QUI MARCHE SEUL - Breveté S.G.D.G.” is a time capsule of a doll. Lift the lid to discover a bebe with a perfect bisque head from the SFBJ era, marked DEP 10 with additional features that include an open mouth with teeth, brown sleep-eyes with the original lush lashes, pierced ears and a magnificent light brown mohair wig in its original set.
The wood and composition body, which is one piece with strung arms (typical flaking to hands), contains a walking mechanism that is wound with a metal key. Pull the lever and wheels upon the bottom of the doll’s integrated shoes spin. We suppose that she would glide along if perfectly balanced, or if you held her hands. Mlle. retains her original crisp cotton chemise that is enhanced with lace and pink silk ribbons.
