This charming play Dress is superb in its construction and color. Fashioned in a textured silk and wool blend, the shade of green (loden comes to mind) is one that is so flattering to bisque dolls. The skirt is full and cartridge pleated, and tiny silk ribbons in a lighter green tone trim the hem and two small tucks. The lined bodice is gathered just in front with gathered silk ribbon around the neckline and puffed medium length sleeves. A loose ribbon belt covers the waistband and buttons in the back. The back is closed with one button at the neckline as well as fine twill tape, which tightens the neckline and waist for a perfect fit. The overall condition is good, showing normal wear and scattered light moth issues, and suitable for a German child or character doll of approximately 17-18” in height.
