It takes quite a face to stand up to the dramatic, yet stunningly beautiful styling of this doll's presentation, but rest assured that this thirteen and one-half inch example from Eugene Barrois is up to that challenge.
Details here include gorgeous, classic modeling to her perfect bisque swivel head and shoulderplate, fine painting of lashes, brows and full lips, cobalt blue eyes with detailed striations, pierced-through ears, and her original blonde mohair wig dressed in a beautiful style, (although sparse and missing a section upon the reverse).
On a classic gusseted leather body, it remains in good condition, save for normal wear and a re-glue at the left wrist, but this is hidden by the lace upon the sleeve cuff.
Her promenade ensemble is beyond-stunning for its lovely styling in chocolate silk brocade, which is nicely paired with solid silk pleated accents. A bit of coordinating rope and delicate lace in all of the right places does the trick here. A coordinating bonnet with sweet floral accents, antique leather ankle boots, and a pair of opera glasses sets this look off - perfectly.
