4 3/4” tall overall, German papier-mache gentleman who we attribute to the J.D. Kestner firm, this fellow bears complete originality. Features include a very detailed molded shoulderhead and top hat as one, wonderfully painted facial features, all on a stuffed cloth body that features wooden hands and molded, black-painted boots. His original felt uniform includes Dresden paper accents showing losses. In very good condition overall, and suitable for display in a vignette or dollhouse featuring early dolls.
