7” tall, quite unusual, character doll representing an 18^th century gentleman. Construction details of this piece include what appears to be a carved wooden head with beautifully painted features, a stuffed leather body with a wire-armature, metal hands and carved wood shoes. The costume, of two tones of wool felt, utilizes nail and pin heads as decoration. Great for display in an early dollhouse or vignette.
