Truly a portrait in cloth and paint, this 1870s example will need your help in the costuming department. A masterful creation when it comes down to how the pieces that make up this doll were cut and sewn, the result is a sturdy, shapely body and head that is firmly stuffed. The facial features are nicely executed and the ears are quite detailed. There is wear present at the top of the head in particular, and a bit on the back side as well. We find it interesting that this doll was given long painted hair that cascades down her back, when any clothing she wore would cover it entirely. So, the dressing of this doll is up to you - but at least she retains her quite marvelous leather shoes.
