Here we have an early nineteenth-century, rolled cloth, dollhouse cook. She features a printed cloth face, pink gingham dress with puffed sleeves, cotton apron and a chef’s hat. Her clothes present overall foxing and are sewn on and held together with a pin and have areas of fragile stitching. Her body is crafted of a cylinder of rolled cotton. She presents a wonderful, aged patina and would display wonderfully in a special dollhouse kitchen.
