This darling doll’s ensemble of pink and cream gingham is a selling point in our humble opinion - and of course, the charming face with its wise spirit is a bonus as well. The four-piece hand stitched head (a few splits and holes mostly on the reverse) features black-painted hair, plus nicely executed lips and a noble nose. The softly stuffed cloth body is hinged at the hips and knees, and the arms are hinged at the shoulders and elbows. The hands show remnants of leather fingers that were applied to the cloth ones below. This soulful lady wears a darling, hand-stitched dress trimmed in lace, plus an exquisite cotton apron and coordinating bonnet.
