Here we offer a cloth doll with an interesting story, as she was created by members of the Ladies Sewing Society of the Central Moravian Church in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Known as the Moravian charity doll, she was named after Polly Heckewelder, the founder. Details include a flat face, drawn on curls and facial features and a stitched-on cap. She is wearing her original pink, floral cotton dress, pinafore, undergarments and shoes.
