Here we have a marvelous, small-scale dollhouse sized lady with a Papier-Mâché shoulderhead on a jointed wooden body - known to collectors as an “alien head.” A special feature is her blackpainted updo covered by a delicate fabric headdress. She wears a fine cotton dress with a botanical print in vivid blue and a plaid shawl around her shoulders. She remains in good condition with scattered surface wear to head. This example is the perfect scale to play the part of a doll’s doll in an early doll or fashion doll scene.
