This darling papier-mache from the J. D. Kestner firm boasts a relatively rare, lavish hairstyle featuring a center part and finely molded curls that wrap her ears, and then spill over her shoulders. Classic features include blue eyes, and a leather and wood milliner's model-type body with red slippers.
She wears her marvelous original dress of ecru lace (losses and tenderness) over cotton gauze pantalettes with a sweet pink embroidered detail at the ankle. She remains in fair to good condition presenting normal, age related wear including scattered finish loss to hair and a rub to nose. This doll would be perfect in a period scene or large scale dollhouse.
