A marvelous wooden Lady from the Grödner Tal - at eighteen and one-half inches tall, her grand size is just one of her many impressive features. This lovely model, complete with a carved, gilt painted wooden comb, is in good condition overall, with her paint showing typical crazing and some finish differences to her chest.
Her sweet facial features are intact and include green eyes, deeply blushed cheeks and a well-painted mouth. She retains her wire loops for hanging her wooden earrings, and the wisps of hair at her temples are well painted. Her classic, jointed, wood body features the original paint finish and her graceful feet terminate in red-painted slippers.
Her diaphanous, empire waist gown is a dream in ecru chiffon with a pink silk sash, leg of mutton sleeves and botanical motif metallic embroidery and sequins throughout (gown does present normal, age related wear and discoloration, particularly to back.)
A true rarity that will greatly enhance any collection of early dolls.
