Early Mechanical "Walking" Doll With Parian Head
This little lady not only has a beautiful face, but is a mechanical marvel! Features include a parian shoulderhead with a gorgeous, oval face, cornflower blue eyes, blushed cheeks and a head of wavy, golden blonde hair adorned with a coronet of antique millinery fowers. Her gown, of antique printed cotton in a pattern of paisleys and floral bouquets in autumnal hues, features flared sleeves, a full skirt. The bodice is embellished with lavender silk ribbon and sprigs of antique millinery fowers. Her shoulderhead is on a carton body with leather arms (age related wear to leather.) Her lower body is in the form of a full skirt which is mounted on a light wooden base from which extends her metal, boot style legs. A key is inserted in her left side to set her legs in motion.
