German Wax-over Papier-Mache Attributed to Cuno & Otto Dressel

$695.00

Here we have a German Wax-over Papier-mache attributed to Cuno & Otto Dressel. This little girl has a very sweet disposition and is in beautiful condition. Additional details include a nice finish to her head (save a tiny rub to her nose), blue glass sleep eyes framed by arched brows and a sweet, closed mouth in a vivid hue of rosebud pink. Her original golden blonde mohair wig is styled in curls and plaits and embellished with blue silk ribbons (discoloration to ears and around hairline.) She wears blue glass earrings in her pierced ears. Her firmly stuffed cloth body features nicely modeled composition limbs (arms do present normal age related wear, particularly to hands, dent to right forearm), and her shapely lower legs feature delightful, molded and painted heeled boots in blue with a red edge. Her original dress is a confection of cream dotted swiss with a ruffled, shoulder skimming neckline, full skirt and a blue silk sash.
Measures: 18” tall
