Details of this early German doll include a papier-mâché shoulderhead with nice facial molding and painting featuring blue eyes, plus a wonderful “Apollo Knot” hairstyle embellished with antique paper flowers. The finish upon the shouderhead does exhibit overall age related wear and some minor areas of paint loss. On a milliners model-type body of sawdust stuffed leather, it is fitted with wooden arms, and legs that terminate in red-painted slippers (body does present normal age related wear.) She wears a dress of floral printed cotton embellished with silk trim and antique paper flowers (dress is tender with scattered, age related holes), worn over cotton undergarments.
