This sweet China Girl stands 23” tall. With her kindly demeanor and substantial size, she would welcome smaller chinas and antique pets in her arms and lap. Features include beautiful facial painting with blue eyes, delicately blushed cheeks and rose hued lips closed in a sweet smile (there is a rub to her left cheek.) Her darling face is framed with molded, golden blonde curls and a snood edged with a gilt embellished “ribbon” in a vivid, old fashioned shade of pink. Further details include a firmly stuffed cloth body with leather forearms and hands in good condition (small tear to middle of left arm and stitching loss to right middle finger) and sewn on, embroidered stockings on her lower legs. She wears a fine white cotton nightgown with a lace edged placket and mother of pearl buttons. The bodice is embellished with rows of tucks and lace (nightgown does present some age related discoloration and scattered holes.) Mauve silk ribbons are tied at her throat and wrists. Underneath she wears lavish layers of antique underthings including pantaloons, two petticoats and a slip.
