German bisque figure of a boy shown reclining on his side, wearing a beautifully decorated nightgown, featuring side-glancing, blue-painted, intaglio eyes, and an open/closed mouth with modeled teeth. The charming child holds a nicely detailed wicker basket which contains molded fruit and leaves. This figure remains in perfect condition save for a flake to one of the leaf tips, and bears the mark Dep 12297 Germany upon its base - attributed to Carl Schneider, Thuringia.
