It appears that this doll was once the treasured possession of Mary Z. Circa 1916…as is lovingly inscribed on her back.
Features include a sweetly expressive face with blue-painted eyes, gently blushed cheeks and a blonde mohair wig styled in curls. She is on a jointed bisque body (head and torso as one) in good condition (limbs slightly loose and significant chipping to top of left leg in back.)
She wears a mint green dress and matching bonnet trimmed in fine antique lace and yellow silk ribbon. Her lower legs feature ankle high blue boots with white molded stockings edged in green. Back incised: 5274 - Inscribed in pencil: Mary Z. 1916
