Hand-carved in pine, but stained dark to emulate mahogany, is a very handsome Sidechair, circa 1800. Beautiful carving decorates the back, crest, front rail and legs, and a late 18th century scrap of tapestry was used as the seat covering.
Perfect for use with your early wooden doll examples, and in good condition overall, but showing some scattered repairs, this whimsical piece once resided in the collection of dollhouse specialist Flora Gill Jacobs.

Measures: 8" tall x 5" wide x 4 1/4" deep

Thank you, A.

This Tapisserie, or French boxed needlework set, was obviously designed to keep a child busy for weeks – there is so much to do! You can choose from needlepoint, beading -- you could even make a tapestry upon the wooden frame that is included.
In good condition, showing normal wear and soil, and largely complete, although exhibiting a loss to one portion of the wooden frame. This set will display beautifully with your larger bebes or German children.

Measures: 12 1/4" wide x 2 5/8" tall x 7 5/8" deep

This amazing set qualifies for the etrennes portion of these pages - a service for three (quite unusual) that includes plates, napkins in rings, silverware and a serving platter - all in brilliant metal (the napkin rings feature a brass tone).
Still attached to the store display card, it features bunny rabbits frolicking in nature - one playing a drum as well.
Featuring a "Made in Germany" stamp and an old $1.00 price notation, the piece is in good condition overall.

Measures: 7 1/8" wide x 9 3/4" tall

Whenever possible, we like to use original works of art in our own fashion doll scenes at home. Now you can too, with this lovely French pastoral scene that is hand painted and beautifully housed behind convex glass and placed in an ebonized frame. The piece is signed middle/lower right, we cannot make out the signature - but exquisite just the same!

Measures: 5 7/8" wide x 5 3/4" tall

Reminiscent of those "yard of flowers" pictures that date from the late 1890s, is this "yard of lovely little girls" from that same era. A chromolithograph on textured paper, this piece might be the perfect piece to hand in your doll room, due to its overall theme and pretty palette. A gold painted wooden frame keeps the look classic, and the original hand rolled glass is a nice bonus.

Measures: 24 5/8" long x 9 5/8" tall

Fit for Chateau Versailles, this spectacular, cast, hand-chased and parcel gilt metal French Jardinière will be the piece de resistance in a fabulous vignette for bebes or fashions. The writing surface features deep green leather with gilt tooled accents -- exceptionally rich.
In excellent condition overall, and suitable for fashions, or perhaps even early dolls, such as woodens, that stand approximately 20-22" in height.
