Perhaps the perfect piece to help accent your early doll vignettes, such as those inhabited by Georgian woodens, is this miniature Dutch Commode with its incredible bombé form. Of mixed wood construction, featuring oak and pine, the piece is beautifully decorated overall in exquisite floral and figural marquetry that is the signature of classic Dutch cabinet making. The three shaped drawers, top and sides each feature leaf and floral themes, plus others, while carved paw feet punctuate the front.
Truly, this fine piece will be the special gem for your most elegant room settings, or simply feature it as an objet d'art.
In very good condition overall.

Measures: 11 1/8" tall x 13 1/2" wide x 9" deep

Some of you are probably aware that besides the production of fine dolls, the Huret firm was responsible for creating a large line of human-sized furnishings in wrought iron. The creations included tables of many varieties, plant stands, cradles, doll furniture of course, and firescreens such as the one shown here.
This screen, of cast and twisted iron, rests on metal casters, features a gilt painted finish (refreshed), and a colorful tapestry over an oval metal frame that pivots on axis, in order to deflect heat we suppose.
An impressed HURET mark can clearly be seen on the base, and overall the condition is excellent.
(Shipping costs for this heavy piece will be an additional charge.)

Measures: 20 3/4" wide x 11" deep (at base) x 42 1/2" tall

Here's a French faux bamboo Table for your petite fashions or small bebes - your picnic-loving dolls in particular will love it, as it is quite portable.
Circa 1900-1920, and freshly waxed, this classic piece remains in good condition overall.

Measures: 6 1/4" tall x 7 3/4" wide x 7 3/4" deep

Thank you, K.

If you are drawn to the unusual, and the exquisite, perhaps you need to take a very close look at this French, miniature Upright Piano. Featuring a wood frame that is entirely covered in silvered metal trimmings, ormolu and Dresden paper - what we actually have here, is a jewel of what was most likely intended to be a jewelry box.
Now, it will display beautifully with your small bebes and fashion dolls, becoming the centerpiece of a room. Further details include a lid that opens up top to provide access to the box portion of the piece, plus a mirrored keyboard that features black glass "keys."
The condition overall is good, showing a few minor losses and normal wear. The bottom of the piece does bear a label that mentions two musical airs, but there is no evidence of musical works now in existence.

Measures: 9" tall x 11 1/4" long x 5 5/8" deep

Thank you, J.

Although the box lid bears the ravages of time, we know that it was intended to read "Toilette de Bebe." The interior is a time capsule of pretty things meant to please the young owner of said bebe. Inside you will find a seven-piece toilette set in lithographed tin, plus soap, a face cloth, brushes, a mirror, sachet, sponge and round box for a powder puff we imagine.
In good condition, and great for display with your dolls.

Box measures: 2" tall x 11 1/2" long x 8" wide

Thank you, C.

Sometimes, a Screen is the perfect piece to solve a decorating problem - and this one is so pretty, we imagine that it could easily do the trick. Of cast metal with an antique brass finish applied, the frame features pierced areas which allow the colorful tapestry panel to be revealed here and there.
Use this piece with petite fashion dolls (or small bebes) of 14-16" in height, for a wonderful result.

Measures: 12" tall x 6 1/2" wide (at base) x 2 1/4" deep (at base)

Featuring classically elegant lines is a lovely French Chest of Drawers dating from the late 18th century. Constructed from beautiful mahogany solids, with pine secondary wood, the piece rests on delicate turned feet, features a stunning black Belgian marble top, and the original delicate brass ring pulls.
In very good condition overall and perfect for use with fashion dolls, or early wooden and papier-mache examples as well.

Measures: 9 1/8" tall x 11 7/8" wide x 6 1/8" deep

It is becoming increasingly clear to us that we have a problem with French faux bamboo - an addiction of sorts, because we love it and we always have. In fact, we do not think we have ever seen a piece that we didn't want to own. The same can be said of this large scale Table de Nuit. Details include simple construction overall, including fine hardwood turnings that simulate bamboo.
The piece features a single drawer, and one door that opens to reveal a storage area with one shelf, an area necessary to house the requisite chamber pot. A white marble top finishes the piece beautifully.
The condition here is good, showing the original finish with normal wear, and scattered worming that seems to be a given on many antique furniture pieces imported from Europe.

Measures: 7" wide x 11 3/4" tall x 5 1/4" deep

What you have here is the majority of a French bedroom suite that is composed of a handsome armoire with the original mirror plate, a marble-topped table de nuit and a washstand that opens to reveal a marble surface. amd there are three handy drawers below. The pieces are of rich, warm pine with applied, black carton decoration and nail heads.
Incorporate a bed of your choice -- black iron, twisted metal or brass would be ideal, and you will have a bed chamber that your dolls will adore.
In excellent condition overall, and suitable for a fashion doll (12-13") or small bebe.

Armoire measures: 7 3/4" wide x 3 1/2" deep x 13 1/4" tall

$1450.00 for the three pieces

It is a true miracle that a piece as fragile as this has survived, especially considering its purpose -- to have balls thrown at it! Featuring lovely paint and patina is a French papier-mache Ball Toss in the form of a big-mouthed Chef de Cuisine. Details include molded and painted features, including blushed cheeks, a prominent nose (which took its share of the onslaught) and a white chef coat and hat.
Perfect for display in the doll room, or actually anywhere in your home where a smile is desired.

Measures: 15 3/4" tall x 9" wide x 3 1/4" deep

We do not like to use the term "salesman sample" lightly, so in order for us to use it, we believe the piece in question must exhibit special characteristics. We believe those characteristics are present in this American chaise, and are highlighted by exacting proportions.
Details include construction from black walnut with delicate chip carving in the Eastlake taste, plus pine as a secondary wood (one replaced leg on the back). The original upholstery is wine-colored mohair velvet with a delicate rope acting as gimp. Upon the base, someone has written "1885" in pencil.
A handsome piece that the miniature furniture collector will appreciate as much as the doll collector.

Measures: 7" tall x 12 5/8" long x 4 1/2" deep

Since we all know time flies, you will have your doll at home in your arms in no time at all!
