Extremely fortunate will be the fashion doll who gets to don this amazing antique, original, four-piece Ensemble. Appearing to be commercially constructed, details here include a skirt of pale pink polished cotton that incorporates a false blouse front, that is worn over the original cotton chemise. A sumptuous black velvet jacket (back center seam loose but will be rectified) conceals the trickery, and coordinates beautifully with the delicate black lace accents upon the skirt. Black jet beading and lace exquisitely decorate the jacket.
Perhaps the most exciting aspect of all, is the fact that the ensemble retains its original wired Bonnet of black tulle, lace and jet beads.
In very good condition overall, showing normal wear and light soil, the ensemble is suitable for wear by a 17" fashion, or china.

It was a skilled seamstress who created this handsome two-piece Ensemble well over 100 years ago - just look at the draping - the styling overall, excellent work. Hand and machine sewn from wine-colored wool that is woven in a very interesting pattern, decoration is kept to a minimum here in the form of a bit of lace in all the right places. A row of brass buttons adds a decorative touch, and a practical one as well, as they form the closure.
In good condition overall, due to scattered snags and a few tender areas, the ensemble is suitable for wear by an early doll who stands approximately 21-22" in height.

6” Shoulder width
4 1/2” Sleeve opening at shoulder - 3” at cuff
3 3/4" Sleeve inseam length
